In Religious Education 9.29.19

This Sunday our children and youth will hear a story about our Unitarian Universalist principles, explore the first source of Unitarian Universalism with an eye to nature, examine personal and family values and clean up our “adopted” section of Riverside Drive in Canton.   

Our RE Ambassador is Esther Katz. 

Nursery will be opened and staffed by Ashley Clover and Kevin Ball. 

Spirit Play will hear the story “Promises”, focusing on our Unitarian Universalist principles.  A reminder to parents and guardians, your child needs to be picked up from this class.  Class ends at 11:45am.

Love Will Guide Us will be introduced the first Source of Unitarian Universalism, the sense of wonder we all share and will guide children in discovering the awe and wonder of nature and to experience themselves as part of nature. 

Teachers: Stevie Michaelson and Emily Dixon 

Maker Space will continue exploring the topic of solid waste.  Our church has made a commitment to keeping America beautiful by “adopting” a 2-mile section of Riverside Drive in the village of Canton and pledging to keep it litter free.  We will travel with the Youth Group, teachers and advisors to clean up our adopted section.  We will depart at 10:30am.

Jr High OWL will explore the topic “Examining Values.” We will explore our personal and family values, identify the range of values held in their peer group and explore how to accept and respect values that differ from their own. 

Teachers: Jim Williams and Sarah Oakley 

Youth Group will travel with the MakerSpace class, teachers and advisors to clean up our adopted section of Riverside Drive. We will depart church at 10:30am.
