Paver Project
Back in October 2014, Roger Hutchinson and Gwen Cunningham contacted the Village of Canton and the State DOT to request permission to install pavers on the green strip between our front sidewalk and Main Street. It’s a good thing North Country winters are long and cold! Obtaining the permit required a great deal of persistence in securing a number of certificates from our insurance company. By May 2015 our permit was issued and thanks to the work of Erik Whittaker, Gary Hoose, and Ian Corse, we now have an eight-foot wide hardscape that will allow us to shovel the front walk right to Main Street making it easier for members to access our front walk in winter.
