In Religious Education 10.13.19

This Sunday our children and youth participate in a water ceremony, explore the ideas of facts, theories and beliefs, compose a church newsletter article, learn about anatomy and physiology and discuss being a welcoming congregation.   

Our RE Ambassador is Esther Katz. 

Nursery will be opened and staffed by Kathy Wyckoff and Sara Hutcheson. 

Spirit Play will participate in a water ceremony, one of our UU rituals.  Children should plan to bring a small amount of water from home or a special place.

Love Will Guide Us will explore our fifth Source, which “counsels us to heed the guidance of reason and the results of science.”  They will learn about facts, theories and beliefs and hear the story “Dinosaur Bones in New Jersey’.”

Maker Space will continue exploring the issue of solid waste.  They will continue to create a letter to the editor and details for our church newsletter. 

Teachers: Sue Powers and Pam Boyle 

Jr High OWL will learn about basic physiology of sexual and reproductive organs and become more comfortable with the topic of sexual anatomy and physiology. 

Facilitators: Jim Williams and Allie Rowland 

Youth Group will participate in a small group discussion on being a Welcoming Congregation.  We will look at the 2019 Five Practices of Welcoming Renewal Process.
