In Religious Education 1.5.20

This Sunday our children and youth will hear a story about solstice, continue considering human nature, begin exploring immigration and slavery, explore sexuality and disability and have fun learning UU history.  

Our RE Ambassador is Jim Williams.  

Nursery will be opened and staffed by Gabrielle Clover and Kevin Ball.  

Spirit Play will hear “Rhea and Lumi,” a winter solstice story.  

Teachers: Wil Rivers and Lois Cutter 

Love Will Guide Us will focus on the first Unitarian Universalist Source. We will consider human nature, with a focus on the wonder and awe of finding beauty in unexpected places. 

Teachers: Eileen Wheeler and Janet McFarland 

Maker Space will explore the topic of immigration and slavery in America in this new workshop rotation session. 

Teachers: Ron Tavernier and Pat Glover 

Jr High OWL will explore sexuality and disability.  We will gain understanding of and empathy for people with disabilities while recognizing that as sexual human beings, they share many commonalities. 

Facilitators: Arthur Freeheart and Kelly Johnson-Eilola 

Youth Group will explore UU history through a game and interactive timelines.
