In Religious Education 11.10.19

This Sunday our children and youth will hear a story about prayer, hear a story about Jesus’ life, continue to create cat scratch boxes, learn about gender identity and go rock climbing.   

Our Acting DRE is Shelby Hunkins and our RE Ambassador is Ron Tavernier. 

Nursery will be opened and staffed by Will Siegfried and Coral Pondysh. 

Spirit Play will hear the story, “Granddad’s Prayer,” about a boy who asks his grandfather about praying.

Love Will Guide Us will focus on the fourth Source of Unitarian Universalism, expressed in children’s language as “Jewish and Christian teachings which tell us to love all others as we love ourselves.”  Children hear a story of Jesus’ life and explore the concept of community.

Maker Space will continue exploring building cat scratch boxes for the Potsdam Humane Society and explore other building projects. 

Teachers: Karen Bage and Pete Wyckoff 

Jr High OWL will increase awareness of gender diversity in the world, identify social challenges faced by individuals who are transgender and identify strategies to support people who are transgender and gender-nonconforming. 

Facilitators: Arthur Freeheart and Kelly Johnson-Eilola 

Youth Group will be going to the SLU Climbing Wall for a fun community building activity.  We will depart the church at 10:30am.  Come in comfy clothes.
