In Religious Education 1.21.18

This Sunday in religious education, our children and youth will hear a story about caring for someone who is sick, hear a story about a lazy bear, prepare to host social hour, prepare to publicize GAYT program, continue learning about Judaism and plan a sledding party for the congregation. 

This Sunday our RE Ambassador is Jeff Frank.  

Nursery will be open and staffed by Katie Boczarski and Rachel Sturges.  The children will hear the story “A Sick Day for Amos McGee” by Philip C. Stead. 

Spirit Play will hear the story “The Lazy Bear”, a story about a bear who learns a lesson from his friends. 

Teachers: Shelby Hunkins and Cara Coffin  

Moral Tales will continue to explore generosity.  They will hear from a member of the Stewardship Committee as well as make plans to host Social Hour next Sunday, January 28. 

Teachers: Ashley Clover and Becky VandeWater  

Maker Space will continue exploring the UUSC program, Guest at Your Table.  They will make an announcement during worship and prepare to distribute donation boxes during social hour. 

Teachers: Heather Rousell and Pete Wyckoff   

Neighboring Faiths will continue learning about Judasim.  They will be visiting the Potsdam Synagogue on Friday, January 19 for their service at 7pm.  During part of this time, they will share the learning from this trip.

Youth Group  will make plans for a church sledding party and consider attending the Schenectady Social Justice Youth Con.
