Social Action Shared Offering to Benefit BonusBucks on April 25

Our church has chosen to support the BonusBucks initiative of GardenShare, which will be our April Social Action Shared Offering.  On April 25 the service will include a brief introduction to this program by GardenShare’s Carlene Doane, and all of the offering will be directed to this (unless you specify otherwise).

Many of you will be aware of the many facets of this local not-for-profit, which supports local farmers and helps provide us all with access to locally grown food.  GardenShare also supports low-income families helping them to access this good food. The support effectively doubles the purchasing power of income eligible St. Lawrence County residents at any of the following five St. Lawrence County farmers markets: Canton, Potsdam, Massena, Gouverneur, and Hammond. To learn more about what GardenShare does for our community and about Bonus Bucks in particular, please go to:  https://www.gardenshare.org/index.php/bonus-bucks
