In Religious Education 1.29.17

In religious education this week, our children and youth will hear the story of Maria Mitchell, explore how we can increase our connection, educate on homelessness, participate in a weekend retreat and share stories of their experiences during Women’s March on Washington.

Our RE Ambassador for this Sunday is Arthur Freeheart.

Nursery will be open and staffed by Gwen Cunningham and Katie Boczarski.

Spirit Play will be hearing the story “An Infinity of Questions” about Maria Mitchell and her love of stars and asking questions.

Our Caring Community will be looking at the idea that we are stronger and smarter together as a church community.  They will be singing, creating “electricity” and creating a group art project.

Maker Space will continue their homelessness education project.  They will continue making plans for a fundraising event and create educational information.

Teachers: Jim Williams and Eileen Raymond

Coming of Age will be coming together for a retreat weekend.  They will be starting at 2pm on Saturday, January 28, have dinner with their mentors, travel to a Hindu home shrine and so much more.  Look for more details via email.

Youth Group will be sharing their experiences after participating in the Women’s March on Washington and look to suggestions for what actions they would like to take next.
