Rather than holding traditional baptisms or christenings, our congregation has child dedication ceremonies for infants and children.
Child dedication ceremonies are crafted together with the parents, guardians, and the minister. The ceremony is a part of Sunday worship and includes the following elements:
- The time honored symbols of new life and beauty: water and flowers
- A blessing for the new life of the child
- Expressions of the hopes for the child
- A promise by the congregation to support and nurture the child
