In Religious Education 4.8.18

This Sunday in religious education, our children will make constellations, hear a story about the Passover Seder, consider helping the Earth, continue making a book, continue learning about indigenous faiths and make treats for our furry friends.

This Sunday our RE Ambassador is Jeff Frank.

Nursery will be open and staffed by TBA.  The children will be creating their own constellation.

Spirit Play will hear the story “Passover Seder”, a source story about the special dinner the Jewish people have to celebrate Passover and to remember when Moses led the Hebrew people out of slavery in Egypt.

Teachers: Margaret Harloe and Cara Coffin

Moral Tales will consider both facts and meaning of the interdependent web of life, and the need to act responsibly. Children will hear a true story about human attempts to control nature with unexpected (and undesirable) results.

Teachers: Susan Power and Jim Rudd

Maker Space will continue creating a book about taking care of the natural world.  They will begin writing text for their book and determine the pictures that will be included.

Teachers: Paul Siskind and Pete Wyckoff

Neighboring Faiths will continue explore Indigenous Religions.  We will focus on Native American traditions and spirituality.

Teachers:  David Bradford and Rajiv Narula

Youth Group will make cat and dog treats for the Potsdam Humane Society.  We will then choose a date we can deliver them.

Advisors: Carol Zimmerman and TBA
