Our church has partnered before with THE PEOPLE PROJECT, an effort to strengthen and revitalize St. Lawrence County through community schools.
On October 31 and November 1, The People Project and the American Federation of Teachers are embarking on an endeavor that will work to revitalize St. Lawrence County. The purpose of this two-day event is to examine the strengths and weaknesses of St. Lawrence County, create a vision for the future, and develop a strategy to meet our goals. Randi Weingarten, President of the American Federation of Teachers and driving force behind Reconnecting McDowell, will kick off the event with a convocation ceremony in which the AFT will pledge its commitment to this project. We invite you to be a part of this exciting opportunity.
