In Religious Education This Sunday 12.4.16

In religious education this week, our youth and children will hear the story of Old Befana, practice presence, give to our community, decorate for the holidays and looking at the conflict at Standing Rock.

Our RE Ambassador for this Sunday is Sally Hoose.

Nursery will be open and staffed by Reg Budelmann and Debs Kalicin.

Spirit Play will be hearing the story of Old Befana, the story of a baby king born in Bethlehem.

Our Caring Community will be practicing presence.  They will hear the story “The Three Questions” and learn from Tai Chi with Relani Prudhomme.

Teachers: Esther Oey and Jim Rudd

Maker Space will be exploring community giving by creating cards for members of our church who are not able to join us on Sunday.

Teachers: Heather Rousell and Ruth Baltus

Coming of Age will be traveling to the Church and Community Thrift Store to decorate for the upcoming holidays and learn more about this important program in our community.  They will also be attending the SLU Gospel Service at 4pm.  Youth are encouraged to stay at the church until we depart for SLU.  They will join the “Supporting Our Children in an Increasingly Hostile World” discussion.  Lunch will be provided.  Parents will need to provide transportation home after the SLU service at 5pm.

Youth Group will be looking at the conflict at Standing Rock and efforts to stop the North Dakota Access Pipeline.
