This Sunday in religious education, our children will be making bird’s nests, hearing a story about a creative tailor, consider injustice and inequality in our world, and the importance of working for justice, determining a social justice project, exploring Hinduism and planning a worship service.

This Sunday our RE Ambassador is Esther Katz.

Nursery will be open and staffed by Eden Terrell and Coral Pondysh.  The children will make bird’s nests.

Spirit Play will hear the story “The Tailor”, about a creative tailor and his resourcefulness.

Teachers: Sharon Tavernier and Lois Cutter

Moral Tales will explore injustice and inequality in our world, and the importance of working for justice. They will hear a story about a kingdom in which many people do not have enough food.

Teachers: Sue Powers and Pete Beekman

Maker Space will begin brainstorming a service project they would like to work on for the next 6 weeks.

Teachers: Kiley Frank and Pat Glover

Neighboring Faiths will begin to explore Hinduism.  The will create a scared altar.  Please bring what we would call “a sacred object”.  The object should have special, deep meaning to the child, that they will be ready to explain/share with the group.  Some examples might be a special stone/rock, a crystal, a special drawing, photo of a family member or someone they look up to, a poem or special book, a piece of jewelry,  etc.

Teachers:  Debra Mitchell and Jeff Frank

Youth Group will continue planning for their March 18 worship service.  We will be coming together on March 10 for a retreat too.

Advisors: Glen Butler and Carol Zimmerman
