In Religious Education 2.25.18

This Sunday in religious education, our children and youth will hear a story about the moon, hear a story about prayers, participate in a social justice project, learn about ancient Norse faith and begin planning a worship service.  

This Sunday our RE Ambassador is Esther Katz.  

Nursery will be open and staffed by Barbara Beekman and Coral Pondysh.  The children will make will hear a story about the moon. 

Spirit Play will hear the story “Grandad’s Prayer”, about a boy who asks his grandfather about praying.

Moral Tales will be participating in a Faith in Action activity with the MakerSpace class.  We will learn about our Social Action Committee as well as explore immigration issues.

Neighboring Faiths will explore ancient Norse mythology and faith.  Sam McBroom, local librarian and Norse enthusiast will share the basic norse gods, their realms of influence on daily life and what we know about daily religious practice from those times prior to Christian influence in the North.

Youth Group will begin planning for their March 18 worship service and plan for a retreat.
