In Religious Education 2.11.18

This Sunday in religious education, our children and youth will make cards, hear a story about butterflies, exploring the concept of responsibility, wrap up the GAYT program, continue to explore Christianity and make cookies for the sledding party.  

This Sunday our RE Ambassador is Jenn Whittaker.  

Nursery will be open and staffed by Eden Terrell and Grace Rousell.  The children will make two Valentine’s Day gifts, a necklace of love beads, and a card. 

Spirit Play will hear the story “Butterfly Friends”, a German folktale about fear of differences and acts of kindness. 

Teachers: Sara Bentley-Garfinkel and Arthur Freeheart 

Moral Tales will learn about responsibility.  They will hear a story from Thailand and Burma about a queen, role play and play a game. 

Teachers: Ashley Clover and Eileen Raymond  

Maker Space will wrap up the GAYT program.  They will collect donation boxes, count the money, write up the deposit ticket and share their learnings. 

Teachers: Kiley Frank and Carol Pynchon 

Neighboring Faiths will wrap up their exploration of Christianity.  They will come back together at 3:30pm to walk to Gunnison Chapel to attend the Gospel Service at SLU.  Parents can plan to pick up their child at 5pm outside Gunnison.

Youth Group will prepare for the sledding party.  They will make cookies as well as make plans for a sleepover and trip to Ottawa.
