In Religious Education 12.3.17

This Sunday in religious education, our children and youth will hear a story about an elderly woman and three kings searching for a child, consider the Golden Rule, create a video, explore the importance of communication, and help MakerSpace class. 

This Sunday our RE Ambassador is Ron Tavernier.  

Nursery will be open and staffed by Jennifer Sorensen and Kevin Ball.  

Spirit Play will hear the story “Legend of Old Befana.”  A story of an elder woman and three kings in search of a child.  

Teachers: Cara Coffin and Maria Dickinson  

Moral Tales will explore the Golden Rule.  The central story, “The Good Samaritan” from Christian scripture, guides exploration of what it means to “love thy neighbor” and helps raise the idea that our “neighbors” include everyone in the world.  

Teachers: Eileen Wheeler and Becky VandeWater  

Maker Space will continue the democracy in action project.  They will work with our youth group to create videos about the three voting options for the upcoming vote on December 10th. 

Teachers: Anna Sorensen and Danny Thomas  

OWL/Neighboring Faiths will continue the Our Wholes lives curriculum.  They will explore communication through activities and games. 

Teachers:  Jim Williams, Kelly Johnson-Eilola and Debra Mitchell 

Youth Group  will work with the MakerSpace class to create videos for the upcoming vote on December 10th.
