In Religious Education 10.27.19

This Sunday our children and youth will hear a story about the universe, create a tree of life bulletin board, make cat scratch boxes, explore the concept of body image and go indoor rock climbing. 

Our RE Ambassador is Cara Coffin. 

Nursery will be opened and staffed by Katie Boczarski and Coral Pondysh. 

Spirit Play will hear “The Universe Story,” an indigo promise story which tells how the cosmos, especially the earth, was created. 

Teachers: Margaret Harloe and Shelby Hunkins 

Love Will Guide Us will continue to explore our fifth Source, which “counsels us to heed the guidance of reason and the results of science.”  They will combine their scientific understanding of the beginnings of life with taxonomy by creating a Tree of Life bulletin board.

Maker Space will begin a new 5-week workshop rotation.  This week we will create cat scratch boxes for the Potsdam Animal Shelter.  Please bring shoe box lids.

Jr High OWL will define the concept of body image, identify factors that influence positive or negative body image, and examine how body image can influence sexual and general health behaviors. 

Facilitators: Jan DeWaters and Arthur Freeheart 

Youth Group will travel to the SLU climbing wall for some adventure fun.  We will depart church at 10:30am.
