In Religious Education 10.22.17

This Sunday in religious education, our children and youth will hear a story of a rooster, explore the experience of empathy, finalize educational materials about pollinators, attend a retreat and consider White Supremacy. 

This Sunday our RE Ambassador is Anna Sorensen. 

Nursery will be open and staffed by Coral Pondysh and Kevin Ball. 

Spirit Play will hear the story “The Rooster Who Learned to Crow.”  A yellow promise story to help learn about accepting and learning about ourselves, others and the great Mystery. 

Teachers: Margaret Harloe and Shelby Hunkins 

Moral Tales will be introduced to empathy as a tool for discerning good and just action. It also guides children to recognize and respect multiple perspectives, and to understand that any given scenario can have multiple truths. 

Teachers: Susan Powers and Kathy Wyckoff 

Maker Space will finalize all presentation materials and continue making small bee hotels. 

Teachers: Ron Tavernier and Miles Manchester 

OWL/Neighboring Faiths will continue the Our Wholes lives curriculum.  They will be attending a weekend retreat starting Friday, October 20 at 6pm and ending Sunday, October 22 at 12:30pm.  Look for details in an email. 

Teachers: All OWL Facilitators and Parent Chaperones 

Youth Group  will engage in discussion around White Supremacy as part of the UUA Teach-In.
