In Religious Education 1.22.17

In religious education this week, our children and youth will be hearing a story about a lazy bear, learning about prophetic practice, educating about the homeless, creating UU elevator speeches and practicing the art of deep listening.

Our RE Ambassador for this Sunday is David Bradford.

Nursery will be open and staffed by Brook Stevenson and Katherine Brown.

Spirit Play will be hearing the story “The Lazy Bear” about a group of animals who have fun with a wagon until bear takes advantage of his friends.

Teachers: Todd Moe and Maria Dickinson

Our Caring Community will be practicing being good people to each other.  The will hear a story and learn techniques for conflict resolution.

Teachers: Sue Powers and Kate Whitehorne

Maker Space will continue their homelessness education project.  They will be looking to create education materials for our congregation and beyond.

Teachers: Jim Williams and Eileen Raymond

Coming of Age will be boosting their confidence in discussing Unitarian Universalism with their non-UU peers by creating elevator speeches.

Teachers: Relani Prudhomme and Will Siegfried

Youth Group will be practicing the art of deep listening.  Utilizing the small group ministry model, youth will participate in some fun activities around listening while learning about each other.
